Home Education and EOTAS
At See the Mountain, we provide fully individualised, home-based education tailored to each child’s emotional, academic, and developmental needs. Our bespoke curriculum is flexible in both content and delivery – ranging from 1 to 5 hours per day and adapting in real time to the child’s readiness.
Our core offer covers Maths, English and Science, aligned with the National Curriculum and delivered by See the Mountain’s resident Expert Teacher, Lewis Stewart. Lessons are designed to re-engage learners, build confidence and restore self-belief.
To support holistic growth, every programme includes: Enacted Mastery Experiences, practical, subject-linked tasks that nurture life skills. Examples range from checking change in a local shop (Mathematics) and cooking a simple meal (Science) to visiting the library (English). Each academic or practical achievement links to a Milestone Reward chosen by the student.
All resources, exercise books, microscopes, science-practical kits and tailored work packs are provided within the package.
Families receive a personalised, high-gloss Record of Learning containing:
- The bespoke curriculum
- Milestones and rewards
- “Breakout Curriculum” activities (music, gaming, crafts, etc.)
- Assessment notes, a homework diary and space for learning reflections
How it starts: a referral to See the Mountain ➜ a video consultation reviewing needs, SEND plans or EHCPs ➜ a face-to-face home visit focused on building a positive learning relationship.

Join our weekly small-group science masterclass at Wychwood Village Hall, led by Lewis Stewart — MA in Expert Teaching, former Assistant Headteacher, and BSc in Physics with Astrophysics.
Lewis also brings specialist experience leading whole-school SEND provision, ensuring an inclusive and effective approach for all learners.
These sessions support students across KS3 and GCSE to build confidence, mastery and motivation through expert modelling, retrieval practice and one-to-one support in a small-group setting.

In Person Tuition
We understand the importance of face to face expert tuition. We offer 1-2 hour face-to-face tuition in KS3 and GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. All resources are provided and these sessions can take place in the comfort of your own home, or alternatively, at our designated workspace in Nantwich. We are only able to guarantee coverage for families in Cheshire East, UK at this time. Prices starting from £45.
